Awesome Sword
This sword is great, especially for the price. Mine looks great and arrived razor-sharp. It's light, responsive, and is a pleasure to swing. It's a great sword to start your collection with and begin cutting. I made one modification after receiving it. The grip is incredibly comfortable and shaped well, so it's easy to always correctly orient the blade. It also feels good while cutting through targets, but I applied a little grip tape for some additional friction since it's just smooth wood. It's easy enough to hold onto while your hand is dry, but I could see it potentially becoming slick if your hands, gloves, or the grip itself get wet. I waited a year after purchasing to write this review and I've used it for cutting melons, pineapples, and water bottles in that time. I've also occasionally clipped the hardwood stand I place my targets on and there's been no blade damage whatsoever. I just give it a little TLC with a few passes on a ceramic sharpener and some mineral oil after use and it looks and performs like new still.
