My only wish is that they'd make more types

Honestly, i had been waiting for something like this. Durable training shield, made from heavy density synthetic materials other than wood, plus one of the cheapest sheilds i've come across. Feels comfortable, and thick as anything, this buckler is awesome. It could probably stand up to sharp sword blows if it needed to. My only hope is that we see some other cold steel training sheilds in the future. Would love to see a heavy kite sheild or viking rounder.

Pleasantly Surprised

My wife wanted to get a couple of these for our stick fighting as to add a different dimension. I was hesitant 'cause I thought they would be thin, cheap, and flimsy. They aren't. Good thickness and weight and can be used with lacrosse gloves or other protective gear. Lots of fun too.

Overbuilt, like a tank

I bought this buckler to use with my CS training sword and training dagger for hands-on demonstrations for my students. I expect it will last years, even with regular use. The only down-sides are the slickness and profile of the handle. That's easily fixed with some grip-tape.
