Excellent choice for disarming techniques

I use it for Krav Maga and other CQC arts. It is a great training tool with correct shape and dimensions. Handle is made so even when your palms are sweaty you can maintain firm grip. If the attacker use it for stabbing expect bruises, which is good - some punishment to teach a lesson. ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION!!! I would also recommended protection for face and neck. In the heat of the moment things might go awry, so better safe than sorry. Awesome product!

Great trainer

I bought 2 of these for my little brother because he likes to play pretend guns with his friend and he loves them. Th rubber is not sharp or pointed in any spots for a minimal safety hazard

Great knife

I teach a self defense class at my hospital and having knifes like this really help the students get the feel of having a knife against their throat and seeing that they can disarm or disable the person without getting cut.

The best training knives around

The Cold Steel training knives are the best available. They are quality made. I use them for training classes of police, security, and private clients interested in this type of training. They take a beating and hold up well. They are not flimsy like some competitors, making them much more realistic in a training format.

About right

Good weight, decent feel to it. Not made of cheap materials. It's cold steel, so I expect good quality, and this is good. I expected it to be more "rubber" feeling and less hard plastic though. It's good for slashing, but you have to pull the punch on stabs otherwise it stings quite a bit.
