Excellent tool for real world knife training...
I use this knife in conjunction with another knife or stick, as well as alone; as far as hubud, sombrada, and numerada training go, the length teaches proper blocking technique against a weapon longer than a pocket knife. The firm construction is a must for gross motor disarms (where floppy blades are safer, but there is no real-world leverage in disarming). The firmness is also very unsafe for sparring without the proper gear: you could easily bust a floating rib with a stab. All in all, when used appropriately, this is the best training knife construction I have ever seen for its particular niche of isolated knife manipulation, and extremely padded sparring.
