More than what I expected.

This is a real sword.bigger than what pictures make it out to be.small trees and brush no problem. Also works well on thick bamboo.also a cheap way to collect swords.

Works Great

Didn't come very sharp but easy to put a good edge on, works great for clearing most stuff even unsharpened. Thick enough to have enough weight to cut well, but not too heavy to use either 1 or 2 handed. Has a little bit of flex which takes some getting used to when cutting thicker stuff, but works well and keeps it from breaking or chipping

Hard-working tool

Part of my job is to spend weeks walking forest mountain trails to keep them free of brush and debris, so I get to try out lots of different styles of machetes. This machete is specialized as a heavy chopper with a nice forward balance. It is also much bigger and heavier than I expected. Made of good material it stands up well to use. Also, Having a few weeks of work with it that it is the most perfect balance of "bush craft tool" and "weapon" of any machete I have used.

it's a Machete

It's a machete, don't expect the performance of the real Chinese War Sword. That being said it's an impressive piece. I'm suprised at the amount of flex in the blade, but when used correctly it cuts great. I spent a decent amount of time sharpening it but that's normal for cold steel. All in all its worth its price, maybe a Lil more. I gave it 4 stars because it is exactly what it says it is. I can't fault it because I expected a little more. Maybe the tactical katana machete will be more impressive?

Fun but also useful

I bought this just to have fun with, but it is also useful on small bushes and trees. It is a little heavy to use as an every day machete but is good on heavier stuff my other machete won't handle.

war sword machete

This item made my wife very happy. It's very fun to cut with although the edge needs some refinement, as most machetes do. The sheathe is decent and it shipped incredibly quickly from knife center.com. Happy camper over here.

It's Huge!

Zombies beware! This is all fun. Total sword not a machete. If you want a beater sword on the cheap that will hold up to any job, this is it. The fit and finish was the best I have seen from CS's machete line. I have other CS machetes and normally they come a bit rough and need a good sharpening. This one was sharp as hell right out of the box. The only thing I would change is the handle. It is not the worst but CS could have cord wrapped it with 550 cord or bolted the handle on so you could remove it. Besides that, great balance and length. The sheath is not half bad. It is totally mall ninja set up to be worn on the back, but forget drawing it over your shoulder (it is just for carrying). It has a nice point that was a surprise as most Chinese War Swords don't and look more like a giant cleaver. This is more like a two handled scimitar. Still a great sword that will chop anything down you put in front of it.
