Good product

I use this in the yard to keep the bushes trimmed, and get the low hanging tree limbs. It's solid, sharp and we'll balanced. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good yard machete, or emergency self defense weapon.

I found it to be light weight and very user friendly as well as sharp . with sleek lines. I f your into machete's this is a keeper.

Nothing less than expected

I received my Cold Steel Thai Machete and got the only surprise I had during the the initial inspection. Unlike some reviews I read on the Internet, this machete came out of the box sharp! I mean real sharp down the entire length of the blade. I use this for cutting brush when I'm on the tractor and it works great. Lots of leverage due to the long handle and thick blade. After a few uses its still sharp enough to do the job. It is long but I knew that and wanted it that way. If you want a stout machete for the farm then give this one a try. I wish the sheath had something built in to run a belt through it

This thing is awesome

I've had my eye on this for quite some time and finally got one. This has to be my most awesome machete I own. Came super sharp out of the box and easy to sharpen between uses. Huge plus is its like using a sword to do your yard work. For this price, just do yourself a favor and get yourself one and slay that over grown brush!

Good tool, fun design.

Nice balance for my purposes both one- and two-handed. Edge needed to be entirely reground - especially along outer third, but once that was done, all was satisfactory. This machete was a subject of much interest and amusement at my last hunt club work day! Good value for money. Do I need a gladius too, I wonder?

Great for the money

Works great for machete type tasks, brush clearing, light chopping. Needed sharpening and reshaping of the bevel on the top six inches of the blade. All in all I would say for $30 this is a great value.
