The one thing I would like is a bit better sheath. .and a couple pouches sewed on there would be nice...but for $45 shipped to my door in just a couple days I am very happy. this thing hacks thru rubber playground mats with ease. ..really fun knife

Dont buy it without the sheath!!! the sheath is a must get with this machete, it's not the top quality off course, but it's good looking and practical.

Let's this old guy use two hands!
I've used machetes for a long time. I own land in a remote part of Michigan that get over grown very quickly. At 60 years old some of the heavy stuff was hard to cut with a one handed machete. With this big boy I can cut limbs larger than my thumb with one swing! Not to mention that it looks "Bad Ass" hanging on the cabin wall!

When i ordered it i said ok, don't get to enthusiastic its cheap made in south africa etc. when it came and i held it in my hands i said wow!!!! with this i can cut branches or even kill zombies!!! Arrived to me a little bit curved, probably from the transportation but its ok. Very sharp as a machete must be and ready for action! Ordered three items from cold steel and the three get 5 star. im very pleased with cold steel!!! im gonna buy more for sure via knifecenter!

inexpensive unique
For this length of steel 40 inch steel weapon in this price range it should be 5 stars. I was surprise how well this chops cuts slashes and stabs. You can hold it like a short spear or swing it like a two handed big sword. tanto point is strong. I had to put good edge on blade and finish the edge but a useful unique thing.

A little more heft than I expected. I think a longer tang and a shorter handle would be nice.
