Solid option for under $100
I'm a regular day trip hiker and always like a good knife on my belt when I go out. I have bark rivers, benchmades etc. Does this equate to those? Nope it doesn't, not in materials for sure. Does it cost as much? Nope. I have realistic expectations when I purchase a knife for under $100, and I think this knife delivers well over the price point that it's at. For me the biggest weakness is, no surprise to anyone who has bought cold steel fixed blades, the sheath. Honestly if it just had a clip instead of the nylon I wouldn't probably hate on it as much, but it, per usual, feels cheap. It does it's job well enough, just would like it better if it WAS better. The knife itself is solid, heat treat and edge function well enough for me and I haven't seen any failures or issues in minor bush craft work that I've put it through for fun. I think the design is attractive and for me the slight inwards curve feels really good in the hand. I'll likely be picking up more in the series to eventually do a short video overview of them. TL;DR - It's a good buy for the price, dependable, durable and if that's all you need I can recommend this blade!
