Nicely finishes the Aligner set.

This grit does a good job of rounding out the edge finishing when using the Aligner kit--the green stone, which is the finest that normally comes with the set, is absolutely fine for a slicing edge that, but a tad coarse if push cutting (whittling, carving) is the intended application. A couple passes on a strop following this grit and you can have a hair-whittling edge very quickly and easily.

Excellent stone for the Aligner

This stone is excellent for removing a burr after progressing thru the other grits. It leaves an eyeball popping(if you have sharpened enough knives you know what I mean) egde on your knives. It is the perfect setup for stropping. I love DMT abrasives period they work faster and are far superior to any other diamond products I have used. This stone is no exception. I have many sharpening systems and IMHO the only thing better than the Aligner is my WE.

bought this after getting the dmt aligner, few pass of this and a quick strop puts a light saber edge on my knife

PERFECT

I USED THIS FOR THE FINISH ON KNIFE EDGES.MAKES THEM DANGER SHARP. CANNOT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT IT.

Diamond xxFine vs Ceramic

I sharpen my own swords, mostly nontraditionally. Diamond stones are my favorite up to the final hone, none were available so I tried ceramic, but it filled too fast. These xxfine diamond stone take my hard target sword almost all the way to the finish line. Stays flat, is not hard to keep a clean cut and the edge is just short of stropping.

Gives a smooth edge

Although it didn't give a mirror finish to the edges of my knives, this diamond stone gave them a much smoother surface than any other stones I've used. It seems well designed and requires very little pressure to produce a good result.

I have saw many good before I bought it. But I was very dispointed about it when it arrived. It isn't 5000 grit（3 micron）at all, only has the effectness of about 1200grit. I have used the Japanese water stone of 4000 grit that could come out the mirror smooth, but this one is inferior in reality.
