Great stone
I gave this stone 5 stars, because even though I am inexperienced when it comes to knife sharpening, and I don't use the aligner, this stone gives me excellent results. I have since purchased extra fine, and extra extra fine grit stones from the same series. Again, I have little experience with sharpening, and know only what I have read and practiced. To any other amateurs, I recommend using the aligner, or being extremely careful. I put a few scratches on my Henkles chef knife because I got a little to greedy on the angle I was trying. Overall, great product.
