FINE diamond grit sharpener
I use a DMT for all sharpening of my hunting, combat, and survival tools. FINE is the grit of choice as it will make short work of all edge problems and leave you a hair popping edge in no time at all. It takes time but you can wear down the fine grit. It will take you years but it will wear down. In fact it will before the Extra Fine grit through use. I wash mine off with Lava soap and a short nylon brush. It opens the pores and cuts all gease, dirt and metal particles. I also smooth down Colt 1911 parts with DMT stones and Hard Arkansas. The DMT quickly smooths the metal and the arkansas stones put on the final polish.
