Perfect for lapping waterstones
Used this product to lap two Japanese waterstones and a Belgian Coticule stone. Rather than use this in my sink under running water I used a large tub and changed the water as it became dirty. I did not want all the particulate that came off in the lapping process potentially clogging up my drain lines. My sharpening stones were in terrible shape with deep concave surfaces. The lapping plate made short order in getting them true again. Be advised, only one side of the plate has the diamonds on it, the other side is smooth. It is nice and heavy as well. I expect this to last a long time. KnifeCenter packed the item well and was very fast with their shipping.
