I still use the sharpener ( fine grit) from over ten years ago and it is still sharpening.

Very portable
These are great where you need a light way portable sharpening system. These are very hard to control blade angle with. They are the lightest weight, best quality field sharpening system I have found however.

Nice little sharpener
This is a compact and handy little sharpener. I have a few knives and utility/multi tools that I carry on me and in my trucks. They see heavy use and abuse so they had become quite dull lately. Using this in the same fashion you would use a regular sharpening stone, I was able to get a nice edge on them in very little time. It does produce a bit of sharpening dust, mostly due to not needing to use honing oil, but holding it in a rag quickly handled that issue. This isn't a heavy duty item by any means, and is compact, so you must take extra caution to not break it or cut yourself (neither of these happened, but I was mindful that they could). Overall, I am quite pleased with it and it will stay in my truck/tool bag for easy access when I am not at home and can't use my larger stones and sharpeners.
