Pros: Ease of Opening, Handle Material, Pocket Clip, Blade Material, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Weight, Pocket Clip
Perfect for heavy work
As an EDC blade, the weight is a little heavy, but the surprisingly light action counteracts it. It would be perfect if the grip was a little longer, but once you get used to it, you won't mind. The deep carry pocket clip requires a bit more regripping to open the blade than the Spyderco clip, but just attaching a paracord loop to the pocket clip makes it much easier to operate. The grip on the handle is not very effective and there is no Jimping on the spine of the blade. However, while these lead to a restless grip, they show that there are no hot spots that leave fingers or hands painful when working with a strong grip. In that respect, the RCK9 is much easier to handle than the Spyderco. This is a good grip for heavy work. The simple design and handle color that you will never get tired of, the sharp edges right out of the box, the nimble action, the sturdy construction and the careful finishing of each part are amazing for this price. I love this model.
