Amazing Value Perfect Knife

First, don’t listen to the 3 star review - the micarta is PERFECT and separates from the titanium frame lock because it is an overlay (ie it’s supposed to do this and is accomplished wonderfully). The marriage of titanium and micarta in a frame lock with this knife can’t be understated. Just so impressive. As a “knife guy” I’m telling you this is an amazing value and a freaking amazing knife. If it was $400 it’d still be worth it. Every part of this knife is spot on. And the size is great - just a tad bigger than other Peña runs so if you’re looking to get a bigger Peña this is it. The handle has a larger butt and fits great in the hand so you get a consistent grip when front flipping the blade. And the action is great as well, of course.

I get the hype

After using this knife for the past few days, I get the hype about the overseas sourced Pena. The price is a bit disconcerting, but great materials, great fit and finish including a perfect grind, and rock-solid lock-up make this what it is. I also like the size of this model compared to the Apache and Zulu models, it's much more useful. I will use this for EDC.

Simply Excellent

This is my second X Series. The first was the Apache which was my current favorite in the collection. The build quality is insane and tangible in-hand. I knew I'd need another and I have zero regrets with this Lanny's Clip. It's slightly larger than the Apache which relates to the one "complaint" I have with that version... it's just a hair small. Not too small but if I could add 10% to it I would. The Lanny's Clip addresses the size issue perfectly and has the same amazing fit and finish. These X series are obviously not cheap but you won't feel ripped off for a second. Every dollar will be accounted for the moment you pull it out of the box, they're that good. Highly recommended.

Stellar Fit & Finish

Just received this knife today, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. I'm no stranger to high end production knives however this is my first experience with Reate. Everything is spot on, blade centering, detent, the fit of the micarta to the bolster, sharpness just perfection. The micarta has already darkened nicely in the few hours since I received it, I look forward to putting it through its paces at work this week. I don't know what Donald is talking about,this is an extremely well put together knife with top shelf materials and fit & finish, worth every penny. As usual KNIFECENTER customer service and shipping is second to none, thank you for this sweet exclusive.

this knife is great

1st of all donald (the reviewer under me) ill buy the knife off you cuz you dont know what ur talking about obviously. and second evrything about the knife is great and is just how its supposed to be have no fear when purchasing a pena ever, every one i have handled is great .... and again the reviewer donald has no clue what hes talking about and i can only assume he has not handled many decent knives because everything he said makes no sense in terms of the build quality of these things

Underwhelming Knife for the price

I was excited about finally getting a Pena knife in my collection. First of all, the knife seems small and underwhelming in appearance. The so-called orange micarta handles have little to no texture and appear more like plastic. Also, the way the lock mechanism is made, it separates from the micarta scale when the knife is opened. I was not impressed by this knife at nearly $300 and will not be buying anymore.
