Pros: Weight, Sheath/Scabbard
Cons: Blade Sharpness

Sturdy but not sharp

I just received the soil knife. The edge is nothing close to sharp on the regular edge. The serrated edge is still square. I didn’t expect a razor edge based on what this is used for in soil. I did expect at least somewhat sharp enough to cut sod. It won’t do that as it came out of the box.

Useful but not sharp

I have just received my Imacasa Hori Hori knife. I'm sure it will become a useful garden tool but my first impression and observation is...it is 'as blunt as old Nick!' Both sides are far from sharp, the blade side has a flat edge so it would be hard to cut yourself, and the serated side is less than sharp, and I think you'd struggle to do any damage to anything with it. However, used as a digging implement it will be useful - well as any other trowel! I am going to try to grind an edge to it and see how I get on, but don't buy this knife thinking you can cut anything with it, because it is super blunt. Slightly disappointed, particularly as an age check had to be carried out to see if I was old enough to be in possession of such a blunt weapon!!!
