Great product

Not big on reviews myself but estwing you've really made a great product thank you.. I would gladly sacrifice weight for durability of product. Just one observation could you extended the rubber handle to fit two handed operations for leaverage for future buyers.. Cheers

A great camping and limbing axe.

This was delivered today by the US Postal lady just as I was dropping three large cedar trees near my driveway. So, what a great time to put it to use limbing the cedars. The chain saw would have been faster but wanted to try it out. It was quite sharp on arrival but going over the edge with a couple different files brought it up to keen. Very nice to swing, great balance, easily pops off the limbs, and no wood handle to replace in the future. The nylon sheath is quite robust with two snaps to secure it to the axe. Don't use adhesive remover (3M) to remove stickers as the paint will come off. too. It should be a great tool for truck or car carry to make a hole when a tree falls over the road and much easier to keep on hand than a chain saw.

its an estwing

not for splitting but it can , just not a maul , great cutter chopper , personally i love the handles ,,, not for going in light but for all round do a bit of everything at base camp , i like it . can break down a carcass or cut up your steaks . metal is a little soft but makes for easy sharpening ,,, if 4 1/2 stars were there that would be my rating .
