Hard not to give it five stars

Alternative titles: Beats the hell out of a Zippo, or Kevin Costner eat your heart out. So how many remember that scene in 'The Postman' Where Kevin Costner's character finds a wrecked and abandoned mail truck and starts a fire with the long dead driver's Zippo? Which has presumably been there for decades. Most of us face palmed at this scene because we all new that the lighter fluid in that thing would have long since evaporated before Kevin got there. However, if the TitanLight had been the lighter he used I probably would have found that scene to at least be plausible. Alright, that Silliness aside I really do love the TitanLight. I've used it quite a bit since I received it and have had no issues thus far, this includes a great many ignitions just for the heck of it. Between my polished brass Zippo, a Ronson JetLite, and the TitanLight, the only victory the Zippo can claim is that it's the prettiest of the trio. The Ronson takes the cake for being the smallest and most compact, and probably equals or exceeds the fuel economy of the Titan Light. Testing the windproof-ness between the Zippo and TitanLight, the Zippo consistently extinguished before the TitanLight in side on and head on winds. The flame height on the TitanLight is also about twice that of the Zippo. In terms of durability both the TitanLight and Zippo should last a person for decades with basic maintenance, though with far more frequent fuel fill ups on the zippo. The real clincher however is a feature that all "Survival Lighters" tend to have. If the Ronson or Zippo get dunked in water, they will not be able to ignite for quite awhile, if at all. So long as the cap is on and properly sealed, the TitanLight will still be immediately usable, even after an extended immersion in water. Personally I think the product is worth the 50$ MSRP, and like all of Exotac's products it is of an exceptional quality (made in USA!). It's a purchase that I'm sure most buyers won't regret making if they want a high quality lighter for EDC or any outdoor pursuit.

Second Purchase

Replacement for the previous model that I lost. Lightweight and hold fluid suprisingly well with the O ring design. Holds up in wind. I use it for backpacking trips. Much sturdier than bicycle or other type cigarette lighters.
