I bought this along with an ulticlip to wear on my 5.11 tactical belt for work (on right hip). I use it for various tasks ie heavily taped boxes that need to be broken down, tangled garbage bags, plastic straps and other miscellaneous things. It's much easier to just reach down and whip it right out of its sheath rather than have to pull out a folder that's clipped in my pocket and flip its blade open and reposition my grip... makes things simpler. Also, its handle design and small blade make it easy to hold on to and unobtrusive if I need two hands and don't want to re-sheath it right away. Easy to sheath/unsheath and secure. I like how it doesn't have any handle scaling.. doesn't need it. Suoer utilitarian, no nonsense.
