Bright and Small

This model compares directly to the Leatherman Serac S2. The Fenix is shorter, has 3 brightness settings (opposed to the Leatherman S2's two) and one of these settings is much, much brighter than the S2. The Fenix is slightly more expensive. I prefer the Leatherman S2's end cap click activation to the Fenix's twist. But both are single AAA and very small and light; so why not buy and carry both. I do. Always good to have a back-up on you.

The best EDC pocket light I could find

This light stays on keychain I always carry, because it's small and light enough not to be obtrusive in my pocket. It's on a quick-detach connector for quick access. I keep the pocket clip attached reversed, so I can use it hands-free on a sleeve, cap, etc. It works great with rechargeable NiMH or alkaline AAAs, which are available everywhere. The three output levels are great, although I wish it had modes for strobe and SOS, especially since it doesn't have a tail-cap switch. I believe the twist-on/off switch design is better at preventing accidental discharge in a pocket, and lets it be smaller with than with a tail-cap switch. Still, the tail-cap switch would be easier to use, so it's not quite perfect - still, I chose this over all the others, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
