This is an Outstanding All Around Knife & Sheath combination!

This is my favorite 'work knife' of all time! I have finally found the knife that is the best All-around knife in my collection. Even though the grind angle on the blade isn't a true mora 45 degreee blade grind angle, I've found the 80CRV2 full tang blade angle grind is the easiest to sharpen in the scandi grind traditional method and it holds the resulting edge just fine. Keeping the edge sharp with the Spyderco slip ceramic file or the Falkniven CC4 both works like a dream on this knife. The sheath design is the next level with the wheel lock mechanism providing a secure lock on the blade and the all-around horizontal or vertical mounting options I really appreciate how it's all incorporated into this sheath. I'm very happy with the length ratio & balance of the handle to the blade. The nordic style of the synthetic handle material covering the metal blade to protect the hands from cold metal in the winter is an absolute stroke of design excellence both with or without gloves. In researching this family of Peltonen knives, I've read that some people were concerned with the ridges on the handle but so far they are quite acceptable to me as I normally wear leather gloves while working with any work knife as a integral part of my PPE. I'm glad I chose this version over the teflon coated blades. So far this is my go to cutting tool for any cutting tasks as well as light feather cutting and small game/trout cleaning as well. I have no con's on this fixed blade. Yup, it's top dog in my knife collection.
