new favorite karambit!
I like this a lot better than the Fox 599. If you're comparison shopping and can't decide which to get, I highly recommend this one. If you already have a Fox 599, this is a very similar knife but slightly better in several meaningful ways. It opens equally well after a bit of practice, and the ramp doesn't destroy pants as badly as the Emerson wave (although I think it requires very slightly more practice). The handle is more comfortable, has some rounding, and doesn't determine where you should put your fingers. The actual grind of the blade is much flatter and there is much less material behind the edge, so it cuts better. The grind is probably the biggest advantage of this knife. If you use it for edc tasks, it just cuts better than the 599. The only thing I didn't like about it was the wire clip, but I discovered that the Spyderco wire clip replacement from Ripp's Garage Tech will work. With that installed this is dangerously close to a perfect knife.
