Small, well made and writes everywhere

Much smaller in real life than you would think, but opened in writing position, it's more than large enough to write comfortably. Works as advertised, writes everywhere.

I might be color blind

I got the items ordered in impressive short time ( I live in Norway), As a Norwegian my understanding of the English language might be a bit off but still what is sold as matte black is to my eyes polished stainless. It is to much hassle to return the pen but still.

A great pen for all circumstances

The Fisher Space Pen is one of the most useful writing tools I have ever used for all the reasons it was created. My work and adventures take me into extremely cold and hot, wet and dry, less than hospitable places where most pens fail. I've used the Space Pen on waterproof notebooks in temperatures -40° to over 120° without a problem even after submerging it in water, oil, and things that would have and did ruin other writing instruments. It's ability to write evenly over oil and other substances without fading out or gumming up is worth every penny. It's the one pen I take with me everywhere I travel. Perhaps one day, even in to Space.

Writes Great

As far as performance, this pen writes great. However, it is a little too small for my hands. Fisher makes other "space pens" that are larger. The size of this one does lend itself to carrying in your shirt or pants pocket without interference.
