I lost my black Space Pen and replaced it with a raw brass model. I like to keep a pen handy. My preferred refill is blue bold. There are two problems with this pen. I found a solution for both problems. 1) It WILL NOT stay together. I wrap a layer of plumber's tape around the inner barrel and jam it together. This works for a long time. When it stops working I replace the tape. 2) It will slip out of my pocket like greased lightning. I put a 3/8" rubber grommet around it to help in retention. An added benefit: brass contains a high concentration of copper. Copper is antibacterial and antiviral. Don't take my word for it. It is well documented. The raw brass (copper) can be rolled around in my hand to cut down on bacteria/viruses that bring on colds and other noxious problems.
