UK legal quirky looking knife
Being in England in the United Kingdom, we have some pretty weird and specific laws regarding the every day carry of knives. You are committing an offence if you don't have good reason for carrying a fixed knife, locking knife or a blade over 3". This knife is one of very few knifes I could find that was a sub 3", non locking and a folding knife, meaning I can carry it every day without needing to prove a legitimate reason. Ordering from the US was expensive (minimum order value for overseas orders) and waited weeks for shipping and needing to pay import duty upon arrival. However there really is no local market alternative. The knife is mostly a bit of fun, I can imagine it being handy, and mostly just a good talking point. The design is a little unconventional. Having only pulled it in and out of the sheath a few times and opened some packaging with it, I only have a couple of observations. The axial holes in the opening bearing ring have crisp edges and they scrape down the inside of the sheath and produce a small amount of black dust, the tail side of both of the brass coloured rivets in the handle have been marked by the production tooling, they are not properly formed, one has a sharp edge that catches threads from clothing. They should really have been removed and redone at the factory, but I guess that's what you get with cheap Chinese knives even if they are bought at a premium from the USA. Apart from that it's exactly what you expect it would be.
