No better value in a knife
An outstanding value that as an owner of over 50 knives of all kinds can't be duplicated. With its excellent carbon steel blade and the Scandi grind that makes it very easy to sharpen freehand on a Waterstone, this knife is excellent. The Scandi grind serves as a guide when sharpening, so it's an excellent knife to learn how to sharpen freehand. This steel will get super sharp and will stay sharp if you give it just basic care. All knives should be treated as if they are plain carbon and wiped down after use. I have a couple of Mora knives that are over 20 years and are still cutting like champs. This knife is great for field dressing and all other camp-related activites. It's not a huge blade so it is limited in that you aren't going to be chopping down trees with it but you can do almost everything else. The handle is excellent and has a very good grippy feel to it.. The sheath gets the job done.
