New standard neck knife

Have to say amazing knife a little small but very capable and functional. The new neck knife is very secure in its sheath even without the button snap. Once you have the blade out the handle is very comfortable and a wonderful grip. It is mora famously sharp shaves arm hairs and shreds paper out of the box. It wears comfortably around the neck, or with its size carries very nicely in a cargo pocket. Basically if you own a Mora companion or any of the variations with a sharpened spine. This knife does the same things with a smaller blade. With the secondary grind on the end of the knife fine carving, feather sticking, and splitting small kindling is great. Love the knife, love Mora and now they have made a super functional, compact, and comfortable neck knife. This is a ready to go knife out of the box for any minimalist. With the mora firestarter which works great showering sparks off the spine.

Firestarter

I now own several. I go with the brighter colors for these because it is less likely to get lost and more importantly it is faster index when you are already in a scramble to not let your embers squash out. I dubbed this "Firestarter" because it truly is a complete package with the lanyard and steel. Its size lends well to always have on you: to throw in my pack, get home, tackle box, hang from the grill/smoker, etc...essentially, it's the Bic version of a knife. when I'm making a fire, guess what I grab...it's quicker for me; I spend less time worried about where the blade is and more time on starting a flame, it's very nimble, so control just comes faster. Scrapping dust, making a feather stick and building the flame, I don't feel encumbered, I don't get fatigued...and as the adage goes, practice makes perfect, so it's the one that I gravitate toward, which means it's also the one I have the most practice with. I won't get into the only one argument. I would rather say that this excels at fire making (it's not simply "adequate") and it builds confidence for beginners (like myself) and builds the foundation to step up into only taking "adequate" into the field because of the additional advantages that "adequate" provides outside of just making your fire. AKA this is a confident companion until you feel confident that you don't need a companion. 1. it's easiest for me to use. 2. It's currently what I feel most confident with (outside of a Bic) 3. next to a Bic, if my life depended on it to make a fire, I would grab this. If you are looking to practice your fire skills or you are wanting something compact to back up your lighter, consider this little guy. I love mine.

Better than I expected

Honestly just bought but looks as if it’s built to last. Very sharp. Well made. Knife clicks into sheath nicely. I’m a day hiker mostly so this is perfect to carry.
