Big little knife

For the money it's fantastic. And regards of the cost it's a great little package. Nice sheath. It isn't pretentious. Very sharp. The compound grind obviously can be used for a few things including small bushcrafting tasks.It's beauty is that it's cheap, sturdy, sharp, non-slip handle, small that you can keep it anywhere, and I tend to use these a lot for little things. I have XL hands and can get a good grip on the knife. I gave all my kids one. It's good to have a little fixed blade around. This is a fun one.

Fun and small

I've been a user of scandi knives for more than a decade now (Mora, Hultafors, Roselli, Lauri, Brusletto etc) and find them the best for all woodworking and craft tasks. I purchased the Eldris as a bit of a novelty, and have been surprised by its usefulness. The blade, while short, is long enough for most craft tasks and spur of the moment work such as sharpening pencils. The handle, too, is short, but I have remedied this by attaching a 4 strand sinnet tight up against the lanyard hole - in effect, extending the handle, which also makes it easier to withdraw from its sheath. Mora's steel is always excellent, and the handle materials and sheath are their usual excellent standard. The only downside, and it is a very small one, is that for the price, you can get two slightly larger Mora knives of a little bit more usefulness. But this one is fun.

Great small blade

This is a great small blade that will fit in a pocket. Easy to sharpen. Great all around knife.

Don't let the size of this knife fool you.

Overall I can't say that I have any complaints about this knife. Looks to be excellent for skinning,carving and basic survival bushcrafting, which is all I'd expect from a knife of this particular design. Great as a back up blade, neck knife or pocket carry knife.

Eldris

This knife will not work with a firestarter and it says right on the package that it will. Also, The plastic sheath doesnt have a pocket clip like most Mora knives. I'd like for it to have a pocket clip so i could carry it inside my front pocket like a pocket knife.
