This knife rocks!

I bought this knife to be a backup blade to keep in my backpack. It quickly became my primary blade. The stainless version with the 14C28N steel is useless but this carbon steel Garberg ROCKS! Very tough, great edge retention, very ergonomic, and because it's made of carbon steel I was able to remove the flint and steel set from my kit and keep only the flint because I can use the flint on the back of the knife with my charcloth to create an ember. The spine on this knife absolutely shreds a ferro rod as well. The amount of sparks the 90 degree spine gets off of my ferro rod is unbelievable. I highly suggest buying this knife!

Fantastic Knife

Bought this knife recently and felt that I had to write this review. I absolutely love it! Very versatile and easy to sharpen I have a couple of dozen survival / Bushcraft knives and i will be very proud to add this masterpiece to my lightweight collection. Very strong, superior design and weight to function ratio. I have the version with the excellent sheath with the diamond sharpener and Fero rod. This one should be Appalachian trail standard issue stamped on it.

Let down

I'll start with good thoughts. This particular model number comes with a host of sheath carry options. It also is the full tang version, research and decide how hard you'll use it, if you're putting in work like I am, the full tang models are needed. Its also the carbon blade material and coated black blade. All of these things are what makes Mora knives shine. They are made to work and its going to be with me as I put in work everytime. The bad...The blade came in like a cheap gas station knife, an edge but not razor sharp like the name Mora is known for. As I'm not in position to be able to sharpen at the moment, this is a large let down. Not to mention, i will be ruining that nice black coated blade I paid for. There is absolutely no question on assembly or steel quality, both are surely high marks.
