GATCO Easy Grip Mount

I would strongly suggest purchasing this mount because it makes honing a great deal easier and more convenient. Essentially, the mount allows one-hand operation. Most factory blades are at 50 degrees so honing to 25 degrees or less is very time consuming and gives hand cramps if the mount is not used. The finger grips grooves are not needed but I assume it's for marketing purposes.

I strongly recommend to buy this device, in order to obtain a fast and high quality job. This base help you to look after the stone because you make the movements with precision and avoid innecessary loads over the stones.

This grip holds the GATCO clamp just as promised, relieving pressure from geezer fingers and making the whole sharpening process faster and more comfortable.

Useful Accessory

I use the Easy Grip Pedestal Mount with the Gatco Pro Sharpening system clamp. This is a very useful and helpful accessory. It has a good grip and allows one to sharpen knives with a steady unflinching grip. Does not have any negatives to mention.
