Pros: Effectiveness, Overall Quality, Ease of Use
Cons: Durability
GATCO, but MIC
This is a nicely-designed and nicely-made tool that works as advertised. The carbide sharpeners touch up an edge to keen quickly, and the fire starter stick is a useful novelty. The chief value is the mating of of carbide sharpener with a broad-based conical diamond hone, which I find more useful than the narrow little sharpening sticks featured on other sharpeners. The tool body is aluminum, perfectly finished in a matte graphite-grey coating. The finish looks anodized, but experience suggests it isn't, so don't let this sharpener bang around naked with other metallic objects unless you don't mind it having bright aluminum nicks.
