The best fold up spade in my option. It folds into a small package and is very light. Saw on the side can be used for a improvised axe. Strong design

Compact, light-weight, glad to use and recommend for outdoor picnics!
Main advantages are: - comfy for women and children due to size and light-weight features (less than 2kg) - its compactness w/o loosing any pros of a small good metal shovel - 3-way folding mechanism is good, require little space to keep in a city apartment - good for picnics, creation of firepits, arranging flowers in a small yard - partially handy for self-defense, while being on a hunt in the forest - you can strike with it as if it were a tactical/military shovel - serrated side for chopping wild grass - comfy, long handle from Zytel - good metal quality Cons: - If you are a farmer and you need to work in a field of crops or vegetables, this is not the item for you ;-) Bottom-line: I would recommend the shovel to anyone, who is interested in the activities listed in the 1st part of the review, besides it is cheaper then GB01945. Great buy, thanks to "Gerber" and "Knife Center". Cheers!

really nice little tool. wouldn't carry it back country for money. too heavy. i like it, it's well made, but i'll stick with my hunter's axe. seems as though as it will resist the elements quite well.
