A World Class Survival Knife!

Just got my StrongArm yesterday. I also have another one with the serrated blade. It's a solid world class EDC knife that will do it all while taking it on hikes. It's a good value given its quality. The sheath is very no nonsense and once attached you don't even know you have it on. I highly recommend it!

Great knife but wish they offer upgrade models

Love this knife! If Gerber made a model with G-10 handles, Kydex sheath, and 440c stainless blade and only charged $30 more I would buy it!

For the jobs this tool was purchased to complete, it works perfectly. The price made my choice a no brainer.. lucky me!💌 I waited years after to allow the tool's true colors to show... The color is still black as night😇but really it's golden!

a pleasant surprise

I rarely offer reviews of products; but after using this knife I will make an exception. I've been collecting/using knives for decades with varied results for use in hiking and camping scenarios. A knife is obviously a necessary tool, to be used to facilitate food processing, bushcraft,etc. I have actually never used a Gerber product before only because I was familiar with the leading knife manufacturers, and bought accordingly. The size, weight, high carbon knife steel and the very comfortable, grippy handle, together with an innovative sheath and the attractive American made ancestry has made this knife my favorite, medium-sized knife within my considerable knife collection. The Knife Center's reasonable price and efficient delivery system was icing on the cake. Blade shape is conducive to multi-tasking with it's excellent balance and razor sharp blade. I'm really picky about my wilderness equipment as I always camp alone in remote areas. With the StrongArm I can rest easy about this well made tool's capabilities.

Great low budget knife that will last forever

I have used this knife for batonining, feathering, cutting, slicing, etc. If you take care of this knife it will take care of you! It is not of the best steel but built like a tank and can hold an edge, and easy to sharpen! For the price you cannot beat it! I really wish Gerber would bring back the BDZ1 Stainless!!!

Ok so I would've rated it 4 stars but I figured someone should bring this thing's rating down just a smidge, for the price point it has you're 3/4 of the way to a much better bushcraft knife than what this thing is capable of delivering, I'd go for something with better steel than what this has. The vertical sheath? Sh**. doesn't work and provides an irritating draw experience unless the thumb is place on the post of the sheath to remove, clumsy and difficult. Horizontal sheath is the more solid of the two but is again not a practical sheath. Need to find a better way to mount this knife on a belt system, it's so bad I decided to upgrade to another knife after a year of use. Other than that, it is a fairly solid overpriced tool. Will easily see you through a pinch if it's all you've got too. It's not a 5 star knife though!
