Worth the wait
This took a while to arrive, and I'm glad that I didn't cancel the order. I ordered in late May 2022, and it arrived in early January 2023. This isn't an expensive knife, but I was intrigued by the design. Gerber has done a good job. This slipjoint requires the right amount of effort to open, and it snaps into place. The Micarta is well done. The pocket clip is a bit too tight, so I eased the tension on it. This is true of most knives on the market. The D2 steel appears to be a good version, and it arrived with a very sharp edge. Gerber has rounded must of the edges, such as the blade spine. However, the inside edge of the nail nick, which runs nearly the length of the blade, is sharp. I used some 1,000-grit sandpaper to smooth those edges in line with the rest of the knife. There is a lanyard hole/tube, The flat grind of the knife is a bit odd, and I probably wouldn't have made it go halfway from the edge to the spine. Either all the way, or maybe none at all. Overall, the quality of construction is very high, and it's a knife that you could easily carry every day.
