Fiskars / Gerber Axe
If this is a re-badged Fiskars Axe with the hollow handle - then I can highly recommend it! The picture looks the same as a Fiskars and Fiskars are made in Finland so I am thinking that they are the same. In the Fiskars, the weight is all in the axe head - so that even light strikes bite deep - maximising the muscular effort that you generate. The head is easy to sharpen with the Fiskars axe sharpener (just the same as a 2 stone rotating knife sharpener) and it remains sharp. I don't know the type of steel but it is not the soft type that is common in the cheaper axes. This steel remains sharp during use! I use mine as a EDC in the boot of my car (I live in the country - not a mad axe murderer! LOL). The Fiskars is the only axe that I have ever been impressed by - all the others have fallen into the same "mundane" class where half your energy is taken up in swinging the handle. I have both the small and full size axes.
