Very nice job Gerber

I'm very impressed with this knife. The sharpness, the pocket clip, the finger choils, the rubber inserts, the size, the sleek design. I just wish the thumb hole was more rounded so it could easily be flipped open. I'm sure with a little practice I'll get used to it. With lots of pocket use I believe the rubber will become more worn and have an even better grip.

Terrific low-cost USA-made lockback folder!

I have been using the 3oz Order as my EDC for several months now and it has proved to be excellent in nearly every way. Do not knock the 420HC blade. It arrives extremely sharp, is easy to maintain, and is plenty tough. Love the unique look. Handle feels good and the pocket clip, while not reversible, provides the perfect amount of grip while being easy to pull from a pocket. Forward choil is useful for detail work. The action was a bit stiff at first, but mine has broken in nicely, making one handed operation easy, even with the lock-back design. I would like to see an all-black full-length blade version as well as a larger sized Order. Would buy them both in a heartbeat. Overall, a terrific USA-made no-nonsense knife from the folks at Gerber that is proving tough, easy to maintain, and has a unique look. I dig it!

Amazing EDC knife

Awesome knife for EDC purposes. Bought it from Gerber a week after it came out last year and it has been on me almost every day since. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a solid knife for EDC.

Best Gerber Yet!!

This has to be the best folder Gerber has made to date! It's light, has a very useful blade design and very easy blade deployment. The only thing I didn't like was the pocket clip. It doesn't hide the knife deep enough in the pocket, but that's just how I prefer to carry. I'd give it 9.5 out of 10!

Great warranty, although I have not needed it

The warranty is NOT automatically voided if you use the Gerber Order for un-knife-like tasks such as digging and prying. I have in fact used it for a little digging (such as extracting a pair of pliers that some idiot had dropped in the mud) and prying (removing auto battery caps) without any problems. But I assume there are limits. I always clean and dry the knife when it gets dirty. But I have found 420HC steel to be very resistant to rust, so I don't worry about corrosion on the Gerber. The blade does need occasional sharpening if you use it much, but it is not nearly as bad as 420 steel in that regard. Out of the box, it needed a little sharpening to slice paper. The description says it opens easily with one hand. At first, I found it difficult to open with one hand because my thumb does not fit the hole in the blade. But after learning about a different brand known for holes in their blades, I discovered that I can flick the Gerber open with my middle finger. It take a little practice. The lock is solid and the knife is easy to close with two hands (unlike some other brands). I can close it with hand and a leg. If you have big hands, you can probably close it with one hand. The handle is comfortable. I do not use pocket clips. My one serious complaint is that the knife does not have screws. Instead, it has rivets or some such thing, which cannot be loosened or tightened. Altogether, the Gerber Order is an excellent EDC at a reasonable price.
