Awesome After Minor Reshaping and Sanding of Handle

The finger guard or cut out in the handle curves back & has sharp edges making it uncomfortable in extended use. After reshaping and rounding the finger groove and rounding all edges with sanding a drum on a rotary tool and finishing with hand sanding, it is now ideal for me. With the one small modification it has become a favorite knife. The handle hand filling with a great balance and after sanding, much more comfortable.. I generally prefer the feel of wood handled knives and tools. The blade is sharp and a great shape and size for a general purpose outdoor knife. It comes with an attractive fitted leather sheath. No knife fills all roles, but this is a great general purpose camping, bushcraft, and hunting knife.

Sturdy knife with awesome grip

I bought this knife because I previously owned one and because the grip felt just right for my hand. The blade itself is quite thick so it's definitely a hunting knife. I tested it out when splitting open a chicken and it worked fine for that. Later on I tried to slice up a pumpkin (just as a test) what really didn't work as the blade is too thick. I really like the leather sheath and the layered steel. The kind of wood feels very good. One important thing that isn't mentioned is that this knife is specifically designed for righthanded people. The top of the right index finger has a specific groove and that's what gives the handle an awesome grip. Holding it with your left hand is not exactly comfortable because at the spot of the groove the left index finger does not completely connect with the handle. So perfectly grippable with your right hand but because of the asymmetric handle not so good for leftie
