Believe the hype

I’ve had this for a couple weeks now, and I’m so glad that I did. It’s awesome for edc. I’ve been a fan of this size and lock style for over a decade (I still own and sometimes carry a Benchmade 530 and a gen 1 griptillian) and this lil guy is the apex so far. The wharnified reverse tantocliff blade shape is supremely useful in everyday tasks, and it’s the first one I’ve owned because I thought they were too weird looking for a long time. The handle scales are rock solid, and the magnacut blade steel is no joke. It’s also one of the more affordable folders in Hogue’s lineup, so if you’ve been wanting to try some of their USA made quality this is a great option.

Deka is a must have!

I have been eyeing the Deka for a while. It is pretty close to a perfect knife for edc. Handle is comfortable, blade is super sharp and the color of the lava is truly unique. The Wharncliffe blade is really nice. Intimidating and sharp. This is a must have for any collection.

A Fine Multi Purpose Carry!

This knife is a great value for the price. The quality is top notch. The blade is great for slicing and the CPM-20CV steel is a durable and sharp edge holder. It works equally well as a tactical carry as it does an EDC. The size makes it well suited for either purpose. The ergos are perfect also. It fits comfortably in my average size hand and the scales are strong, durable and attractive with good gripping action. The ABLE lock is strong, reliable and simple in it's design. The blade locks up solidly each and every time. All in all, this knife is a very solid piece of kit with a variety of uses. This is a carry that anyone can be happy with for many years of reliable use.

Modified Wharncliff or Reverse Tanto? A Rose by any other name...!

Received this knife about a month ago, typically review the day I receive them, but this one slipped through the cracks! Only praises for this little beauty, as has been the case with nearly every Hogue I have purchased! Whatever you want to call this blade, it is my favorite shape; I love the contours and the very versatile tip; meets all my EDC needs. All knives (except button locks) have become two handed for me due to advancing neuropathy in my right hand, but I'm progressing with the axis type locks. Fit and finish are flawless, and I have bought into the recent CPM-Magnacut rave in a big way! As nearly perfect, IMHO, as any production knife can be!

Quality EDC

Perfect in every way as stated in above review except for the deep carry clip! Such a perfect knife only to have a clip with screws not counter sunk just waiting to tear up your pants pocket! Will definitely need to replace it!
