Cons: None
Very smooth action and excellent overall quality
This is my first Hogue knife and it certainly will not be my last. It is by far my favorite folding knife in my collection of about 20 or so knives . The blade is sharp as heck, has a great geometry and a liberal amount of 5 star jimping The studs on the blade make it a flicker, easily You can also deploy the blade with a quick jolt from the wrist and hand The grip is narrow because it doesn't have a liner The locking system operates with ease. Not a lot of pressure needed I am not much of a pocket clip person unless I clip it to my backpack or something, but the clip is good and reversible I can't repeat enough how slick this action is when deploying the blade. In fact it is also quite easy to store the black with gravity. Rock star knife that I used my Knifecenter points to get me a BIG discount such that it was less than 100 bucks.

Several things shocked me.
First Hogue for me. The good. Came out of the box dang sharp. I mean sharp. YES a knife should come out of the box sharp but this one really surprised me. It's extremely light. Again, based on the specs that shouldn't have surprised me but it did. Can't hardly tell it's in my pocket. Great texture. Even with wet hands it doesn't slip at all. Sturdy, NO flex in the blade or anywhere else, which considering how light it is is amazing. The blade profile is perfect for me. I go through a ton of cardboard boxes and packaging tape. The not terrible just preference. The screws that hold the plate on the back side so you can switch the clip aren't counter sunk. So when I put my hand in and out of my pocket they gouged my hand. Easy fix to simply remove the screws and the small plate. Nit picky I know. Out of the box the lock and the blade were tight but after a day or so playing with it/using it it's working like a charm like it should. Would I buy again? YES.

Hogue Deka
This is my first Hogue blade and I'm sure it won't be the last. The finish of the blade is excellent, the black cerakote finish has no flaws and cleans up easily. They provided gimping for those who like to reef on their blades. The belt clip fits nice in the pocket, tip up, left or right. It is a very lightweight knife with the G-10 scales giving enough grip to hold onto when wet or wearing gloves. Deployment comes with just a flick of the wrist. It is something that I'm having adjusting to using. It is very fast, and I needed to tighten the pivot screw just a bit to give it more tension. Lockup is provided by Hogue's axel lock design. It doesn't seem to engage the blade as much as my Benchmade, but I've had no problems with it locking or unlocking. One thing I would like to see is a lock of some kind, it flicks out so easily that I could seeing having a lock would be a good thing.
