Excellent lightweight EDC
Excellent knife. Super light weight and makes for a easy carry. Magna cut steel is the best all around for EDC. The action for mine is perfect. I did have some centering issues, this was due to loose scale screws so make sure to check if you purchase other than that I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Great Knife, Great Steel!
I really enjoy the blade shape and the operation of this knife, I see it as a direct competitor for my bugout. The handle is a bit stiffer and thicker which I like, and the steel is way better. Combined with being made in USA, it's kind of a steal. Only problems: it wasn't super sharp when I got it, and the grind was a little uneven side to side.

Excellent knife
I pre-ordered this knife excited to try out the magnacut steel and wharncliffe blade style. I absolutely love this knife! It's lightweight, has a nice pocket clip, opens very smooth and love the lock on it. The blade point is very sharp and perfect for exact/detailed cutting. Great for anything from removing splinters, to using as an exacto knife. I have used this knife for months for cutting things from tape, cardboard, fabric, plastic packaging, skinning several animals, cutting vegetables and cutting thin leather. I have not had to sharpen the blade once, just a little bit of stopping to clean up the edge and the only thing that could be seen as an issue is slight scratching on the secondary bevel. This thing is great at holding an edge and the stonewash finish is quite durable against scratching as far as the tasks I've used it for. I highly recommend this blade to anyone looking for a EDC to handle slicing tasks. I wouldn't recommend it as much for a pocket bushcraft or carving blade although it may work fine for those tasks. I have not had any issues with edge chipping but also haven't engaged in any excessive abuse of the blade edge.

Great knife poor QC
Love the knife, it has great steel and a smooth action. Takes a wicked edge. However, I was disappointed with the QC. It came missing one thumb stud and blade was off-center when folded.

Needs Tweeking
The Magnacut steel is extremely sharp especially for a factory edge. Blade was not perfectly straight sitting closed in the handle. The inside edge of the handle scales are a bit sharp. The knife does not open in a snappy manner without using a good amount of force, I guess I'm just used to knives with ball bearing washers. The top factory pocket clip torx screw is difficult to remove due to part of the screw being obstructed by the clip itself. Don't get me wrong, I like the knife but I own cheaper knives with better quality control.

Design great, QC horrible
Pros: - great blade shape - steel seems well treated - good size - frn isn't as bad as they say Cons: - pocket clip snapped off after one day of owning it; fortunately civivi clips do work - stock scales are slick. That's ok, we all expect to buy different scales anyways. - one of the phosphor bronze washers looked like it had gone through a garbage disposal - blade tang? where the crossbar lock rides was very rough; I ended up having to take diamond paste to it to remove the grittiness - liners look like they were stamped out with a dull tool... and it looks like I got 2 left liners? If that's a thing -- the chamfering was on the outside of one of them, inside of the other -- and it had a bunch of grittiness in the crossbar. Small diamond file and some paste was necessary there. - finally, the liners were and are loose in the scales. Even on AWT scales. So it feels like there is blade play up and down, which is just the liners slipping around. I decided to keep it because I like little projects like this, but will not be buying a Hogue again unless I get to handle it in person.
