Great knife for EDC!

What a great EDC knife! Razor sharp Magnacut blade, exceptionally smooth opening and closing, and so very light! Easily equal in terms of quality to the more expensive Spyderco and Benchmade knives in my collection.

Outstanding for Lightweight EDC

The Mysto with Richlite scales is light and slim making it very easy to carry. Blade is well proportioned and does not appear as long as it (which is potentially helpful). The texture of the Richlite scales is light but good and the knife doesn’t feel slick. Mine is the blue Water Series. Both the scales and the blade finish are slightly darker than I had anticipated. The action is smooth and the blade is centered. The blade is sharp but not incredibly so (a minor issue). Quality overall seems very good.

Typical Hogue quality.

Fit and finish are outstanding. Extremely sharp out of the box. Action is smooth. Light weight and blade is a good all around shape. This is a very capable EDC knife.

Nice First Premium(ish) Knife

I had accumulated several respectable, but not exquisite, knives from various makers, but wanted to jump into the world of MagnaCut to see what all the buzz was about. This shape and size was appealing, and getting a US-made knife with a great reputation seemed worthwhile, so this was the knife I landed on. I'm glad I did, as the ergonomics are great, size is actually a little bigger than I expected (a good thing) and it was shaving sharp out of the box. My EDC knives used to take a beating at work, but now that I have an office job the hard use is in my off hours, and while I haven't tried to really overwork it, it seems up to any task it should be assigned. Action is crazy smooth - the only "flaw" is it that the audible "click" upon fully opening is a little understated, though lock-up is rock solid. Looks good to you? Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

One of the best, REALLY!

I first picked up the Hogue Mysto Collector Series with Milled Carbon Fiber Handles, and the Tritium Insert. At first, I was not 'over-the-moon' with it, but over a few weeks of carrying it, the CRISP blade action, super LIGHT WEIGHT and the beautiful machining, won me over, so much in fact, I decided I needed ANOTHER Mysto and chose this one with the Canyon Richlite Handels. What a GREAT knife! It's just the right length, super light weight, incredibly well put together, MAGNACUT SHARP, and so good looking! Oh, and I may need a third one....

Perfect EDC

When I first saw this I wasn't sure about purchasing it. But when it came in I knew this was the perfect EDC for me. Very thin and lightweight. It basically hides in your pocket. The action of the knife is buttery smooth. And for the topping is the magna cut blade which is razor sharp from the factory. Don't waste your money on name brand knives that don't even compete against this. An affordable american-made knife.

Well made knife

Well made knife. More narrow in the hand than I expected but still like it. Not as slicy as I expected. If you want to cut up cardboard and the like get the Deka instead. Richlight is really good looking. So far blade holds a good edge.

Pretty Close to Perfect

This is my first Hogue, but will not be my last. Design, construction and finish is really good. A nice compromise between folded down dimensions that come close to disappearing in a pocket and open dimensions that feel substantial for a discreet carry. The aesthetic leans more towards refined. The blade came very sharp out of the box and the edge seems to be holding up well although I haven’t tested it on anything too challenging. If I had one critique, it would be that this knife doesn’t flick open with the same ease as my well worn Bugout.

USA Qualifiy

Good design and feels good in my hand with work gloves. I use it during my renovation projects cutting all types of material with ease. My only gripe is it is a bit long but that is a preference not a flaw. This is my first Hogue and I will be looking for other options they offer.
