The best form follows function EMT knife

As a park ranger at a lake, I carry this knife in my pocket because it effectively covers many EMT and EDC needs in a minimalistic and not so disfunctionally tacticool way. The trauma does most of what a leatherman raptor would do in a more portable form factor, and importantly has a sheep’s foot blade which is really good for a large number of edc tasks as it allows you to pinch the blade and put your finger tip all the way up along the spine for carving wood for bushcraft projects. As such, I prefer it over the benchmade triage which over specializes and in doing so loses functionalities that I want.. like still having a point on it. The fold out hook is great for cutting through everything from boxes and seatbelts to wetsuits. I think that this version of the trauma without the serrations is best one because it is already super sharp(will easily remove hair from your arm or whiskers off your face).

So - So

I already own a Benchmade Triage , and thought since this is an exact copy it would be a great backup carry .... But I doubt it will stand up anywhere near what I thought it would !
