Cool but a little frustrating

So just got this today Worked like three or four times and then seemed to bind up. Sprayed some brake cleaner inside to no avail. Decided if I sent it back, it would probably be a week turn around time, a least, ugghhh. Watched a YouTube video to get an idea of the mechanism and dissassembly. Blade was binding at the first lock, so got a course and fine diamond plate, that I use for chisels. Lapped the top side and bottom side of the knife blade, where it runs in the groove of the handle. Don’t want to take a lot of material off, just enough to smooth the action. A little put off that a $300 knife needs this amount of elbow grease to tune it, but it’s smooth as butter now.
