Quality is a work of art, and "USA" speaks volumes. This 7" EX-F01 sets the standard!!! I bought it for a backpacking/survival knife, and it felt a bit heavy at first, but I won't leave home without it. The scales of the handle felt like it had a bit too much of a bite, but after a couple days, it felt just fine. Sharpness of the blade is perfect. The squared-off serrated edge along the spine helps lighten the weight of the knife. The scabbard is near perfect, but the index finger-grove interferes with the two-way release in one direction, but not really a problem if you get used to using only one side of the release. It releases the same either right-side or left-side carry. The snap on the replaceable holding strap takes a little getting used to but is also near perfect for securing the knife. I've found releasing the knife first before unsnapping the strap works best for removing the knife from the scabbard. The scabbard itself is well built, and I love the 'dangler' feature it has.
