Hogue is so underrated

Do yourself a favor and buy this Hogue instead of the BK2 because you’re going to end up having just as much invested in the BK2 after upgrading the handle scales and sheath. I have $197 invested in my BK2, and while the upgrades vastly improved the BK2,it’s still not in the same league that this Hogue is. Hogue fit/finish is phenomenal. Hogue heat treatment is second to none. A2 is good stuff. Hogue Gmascus scales are gorgeous and most importantly they are ergonomic. The Hogue sheath is the best production sheath I’ve ever seen. If you have ever wondered what $100 more will buy you the Hogue is the answer. This is the best in its class and by a wide margin.

Incredibly well built knife

This knife is built like a tank. Razor-sharp flawless attention to detail. My only problem was that the G 10 is very smooth and the knife felt like it was going to fall out of my hand. I found some camouflage lacrosse tape and taped up the handle and the knife really came alive.

Spot on

Mowing business, on & off mower cutting and hacking. Have the 5.5 but will also be getting the 7 inch. We'll made knife and sheath is okay. Plan on making my own leather sheath.

excellent

i am in heating and air cond. i use this knife for things a knife should never be used for like heavy prying hammering chiseling out morter punching holes in sheet metal as well as cutting tasks. the exfo1 5.5 inch has out performed every other knife used. and ive used a lot, ranging from $50 to $350 most of witch are of corse boken. used for about 2 months as edc. made a leather sheath for edc but provided sheath is excellent desine and quality. very balaneced in hand and comfterable. if you are looking for a high quality heavy duty tool than i would reccamend this knife. i plan to buy the 7 inch for camping (as soon as i can afford it) no cons

Well Executed

Another well designed and executed knife from Hogue and Allen Elishewitz. If you are looking for a Combat/Tactical/Survival type knife, I do not think that there is one better at this price range. The blade is one good chunk of steel. The handle is well designed and the Hogue G-Mascus is both functional and beautiful. A tremendous amount of thought went into the design of the sheath and its versatility is unmatched. Strong, sharp, well designed, and beautiful. What more could you ask for, except maybe stainless. Already attached to my 5.11 Rush.
