Old World Craftsmanship

A beautiful functional tool. Great for camping, backpacking, canoeing, and deer & big game hunting. Easily prepare kindling and feather fire sticks. Useful too for preparing food and breaking down big game. Excellent steel. The edge is hand honed to a mirror finish and is razor sharp. Handle very ergonomic with no hot spots. Performance is way bigger than its size. This baby goes with me every where. Love it. You will not find a finer hatchet sold. Sheath is very nice too. Buy it!!!

Excellent quality

I purchased this for motocamping. Initially I was co concerned as to whether I should have gotten something smaller with a lighter head for packing on the bike. This has turned out to be a great choice and has performed everything I've needed it to do. It's compact but splits kindling for a fire box or small campfire easily. The mirror polished edge shaves feather sticks cleanly. Pounds tent stakes and everything else needed around camp. If you think this hatchet will suit your needs I highly recommend it as a quality tool.

Perfect tool

I bought this thinking it would be a perfect bridge between a knife and a full size axe. I definitely use this more than my knife or axe when I'm camping. It a shaving shaving sharp edge and keeps it surprisingly well considering the amount of work I call on it to do.
