Pros: Weight, Overall Quality, Materials, Finish
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard
Just Plain Cool
Immediately wanted this knife when I saw it. But gotta admit when it arrived I wasn't exactly blown away. Was almost ready to return it but after just handling it for awhile & experimenting with the different ways to hold & use it I discovered it is actually very practical, usefull, even versatile. And given the right (or wrong) circumstances, very dangerous. This is a short but stout knife. It may not be the knife to take hunting or camping but is very useful for every day light knife chores & even & formidable defensive weapon if needed. Due to it's stout, short blade geometry it may not be exactly hair poppin sharp but will still handle most cutting chores. It also has may not be as threatening to bystanders, co-workers, etc. due to its diminutive size. Oh, the sheath. Very well made. Perhaps a little to well. It holds very tight. Tight to the point it can require & very hard yank to release it. So hard that the chain it came with will need to be substituted for a heavier cord. However it has loosened some with repeated use. Between too loose or too tight I'll take too tight. However the vey cool little belt clip for horizontal carry that comes with it is of limited use due to the force required to free it. If you are buying it intending to carry in this way you may need to modify kydex sheath some to make drawing it out a little easier. Very good idea though. I have since found it a constant companion. It has not exactly replaced my every day carry but I find I love carrying this very well designed, practical, unique, versatile little knife.
