An underrated treasure
What a fantastic knife. Midtechs can often be hit or misses, but the construction, workmanship is just superb. I'm a big fan of the color blue so it was only fitting that I buy this one, and being that I was eyeing Hoback's stuff for awhile, it was the perfect match. The blue is actually more of a cornflower blue, and not as "hot" as shown in the pics. Much more subtle, which I do like very much. It's definitely better in real life than in pictures in my humble opinion. The bedform exclusive finishing is awesome. Adds a new but subtle dimension to the scales, which by the way are anodized very nicely as well without being too shiny. The blade work was also done very well, as it but I think it can be a "tad bit" sharper compared to let's say my CRK Sebenza 21 but I'm just nitpicking. The pocket clip tension is perfect, not too tight but not too loose. I tried it on my unwashed raw selvedge denim and the knife slides in nicely. I sense It will work just as well on softer washed type of pants as well. Overall, this is one beefy folder that is just made for work. Well done Knifecenter and Jake. Very very satisfied with the purchase.
