I stopped buying survival knives when the 5" Nomad came out
I was accumulating quite a collection of survival knives. I bought the 5" Nomad last year, and stopped shopping for survival knives. I had purchased six knives in the 90 days before I got my first Nomad. None of us has the 6.75" Nomad yet, but I'm getting in line. I want to own one as soon as they are available. The 5" Nomad was impeccable. The weight and balance were perfect. A big part of the fun was finishing those wooden scales, bringing out the grain. It replaced my BK2 with its nearly identical configuration, convex edge, better steel, and lighter weight. The only thing that could have made me replace my Nomad is more Nomad to work with. It came with a fine sheath and fire steel too.
