Good for hand to hand combat with extraterrestrials in space

I carry this product in case I am ever in outer space and run into hostile extraterrestrial beings, or perhaps even a xenomorph. The United States Space Force “Space Force” SPACE-BAR full size fighting knife in 7” gray plain blade has served me well and without fail, as I have survived so far without a single scratch. The one downside is that this blade is a bit heavy, and weight is always at a premium for launches. However, it is well worth it to have a sturdy blade to defend against any alien entities I might encounter.

SPACE-BAR

I watched the KnifeCenter video by David C. Anderson on the newest edition to the Ka-Bar combat knife family and ordered one immediately! The contrast between the Sky Blue handle and grey powder coated blade is striking,indeed! Razor sharp,right outa the box,and beautifully finished. The included grey sheath is both practical and visually appealing. This knife is every bit as tough as it’s classic Marine brother,but for now ,I’m going to display it next to my”Pirate Dog” model. Buy it!

My first KA-BAR

For a while now I thought I should add a ka-bar to my collection. As I have never been in the armed forces I didn't think it right to have one with any insignia on it. Then I saw the Space Bar on the web. As someone with an interest in both space and knives , this was a perfect fit. Also one of my other knives has a kraton handle so I knew it combined both a good grip and is durable. And the colour.... that's a win for me

Adorable

Good: It's a sky blue and gray take on the most iconic combat knife of the 20th century. For its size, it's lightweight, balanced and comes with a really solid sheath. The handle is grippy and feels good in the hand (I wear a medium glove). It will be very hard to misplace this in the forest because almost nothing in nature is that color. This design is so popular because it's right at the intersection of what makes sense for wilderness survival, general utility and fighting. It's not perfect for any of those roles but a perfect fighting knife would not be good for processing a lot of firewood and vice versa. Bad: The finish isn't particularly robust. All I've used this knife on is cardboard boxes and I already see wear in the finish that I can't wash off. The steel has a low chromium content and rusts so the edge has to be kept oiled. That's normal for carbon steel but be aware. Ugly: The sheath's nylon belt loop is bolted on with rivets so you can't remove or replace it if it gets damaged. It makes the sheath feel more like a McDonalds toy. Screws would have been better. The edge's grind isn't totally even on both sides and it wasn't very sharp out of the box.
